TRUCK designs
products for the home's surfaces: Table, Floor, Wall, Ceiling. They view
their work as product architecture: the structured assembly of common
materials, sensitive to the intimate scale of furniture and objects. They
want to bring pleasure to the home through design that is both
straightforward and unexpected. There work has won several international
design awards and has been widely published.

Designed

3 sizes: Some (7.5” x 12”) More (10” x 16”) and Lots (13” x 22”)
Dark brown calfskin and taupe boarskin are hand laminated to an
aluminum core. The core is CNC cut and hand formed at a factory in
Philadelphia. The leather is treated with a protective topcoat at the
Leather Institute and the product is assembled at a shop in the
garment district of NYC.

Three layers are laminated to form each placemat and coaster, which
are assembled in the garment district in NYC. The top layer is
finished with a protective, water-resistant sealer.

2’ x 3’ (red)
Three layers of bonded leather-fiber (recycled leather mixed with
latex) are cut and assembled on 26th St.
Each mat is then hand dyed and finished with a protective,
water-resistant sealer at the Leather Institute.
Raw bonded leather is a material borrowed from the fashion industry:
it is typically used to provide structure
to belts, handbags and other accessories.
